A funeral service for Mr. James Rhudy Roberts, age 75, of Blair Estates, Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas, who died at his residence after a long illness, will be held at Light and Life Community Church, East Court, between 8th and 9th Terrace, Centreville, Nassau, on Sunday, 27th October, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.
Reverend Dr. Franklin Knowles, assisted by Reverend Charles Lewis and Reverend Milton Lightbourne will officiate and interment will follow in Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery, East Shirley Street, Nassau.
Mr. Roberts was predeceased by his parents, Herschel Roberts and his wife Agnes Roberts and his sister, Janice Collins.
He is survived by his wife, Daisy Roberts; three daughters, Tina Gibson, Wanda Knowles and Fredrica Hayling; two grandsons, Robert Gibson and Caeden Hayling; two granddaughters, Caroline Knowles and Raegan Hayling; two sisters, Paulette Sands and Denise Calkins; his aunt, Kathryn Sands; two sons-in-law, Edwin Knowles and David Hayling; two brothers-in-law, Jack Sands and Clarence Sands (Junior); three sisters-in-law, Betty Sands, Lucille Sands and Loree Sands; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Williamson Chea, Dr. Joseph Evans and staff, Dr. Robert Ramsingh and family; Caregivers, Jovita Charite, Mikus Mikula, John Darryl; Pharmacists, Carol Sands and Rochelle Bastian and staff of Lowe’s Pharmacy and Family Pharmacy.
Special thanks to all who called, visited, provided meals and all who showed care and love during Rhudy’s illness.
