Funeral service for the late Beatrice Alice Louise Heastie age 92 Years of #211 Baillou Hill Road and Coconut Grove will be held on Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral West Street North. Officiating will be Father Glen C. Nixon. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery, Tyler Street.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Arnold; brothers: James and George and sister Gertrude.
Those she leaves to cherish her many wonderful moments of life are her sons: Stephen and Arnold Jr; foster daughter; Patrice Taylor; granddaughter: Ivana Heastie; foster granddaughter Tiffany Rolle, step grandson Farrell Goff; daughter-in –law: Sabrina Heastie; nieces: Pamela Rahming, Linda Tatem, Carol Bowleg, Brenda Watkins, Kelly Neeley, Sheila Culmer; nephews: Michael, John, James, Sidney Watkins, Perry and Kevin Pratt, Eugene Burns; cousins; Catherine Johnson and Vanria Butterfield. Numerous relatives and friends including Leanne Forbes, Slyvia Dames-Rolle, Mark Rolle, Pamela Richardson, Paul Pratt, Deidre Bannister and family, The Honorable A. D. Hanna, The Honorable Glenys Hanna-Martin, The Honorable Marvin Dames, Barry and Margaret Ward and Family, the Dames family, the Heastie, Hanna & Tynes family, The Boys of GHS. Special thanks to her nurse team: Nurses Leanne Forbes, Marilyn Knowles, Bessie Bethel, Angie Adderley, Phillipa Lamb and caregiver Mrs. Dorothy Dean. Also to the doctors and nurses at Princess Margaret Hospital and many others too numerous to mention.
Viewing will be held in the Celestial Suite at Restview Memorial Mortuary and Crematorium Ltd., Robinson and Soldier Roads on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
