Carmi Beriah James, Jr. (aka “CB”, “By-O”, “Chairman of the Board”) was born October 20, 1943 in Nassau to Reverend CB James Sr. of Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Mabel King James of King’s Yard, Cat Island. He was their sixth and last child.
He died on January 5, 2020, at age 76 and no one was more surprised than him. Despite millions and billions of examples to the contrary, Daddy thought he would live forever.
He is survived by his wife: Elverna (Vernie); three daughters: Evadnie Wilson (Horace), Keshia James-Hicks(Joe) and Erica Moiah James; Four grandsons: Rohan Wilson, Myles, Noah and August Hicks.
He has one surviving brother, Ivan James. Nieces and nephews include Ollimae Tynes, S. Anthony Brown, Raymond Brown, Terri Braynen, Yvette Lavarity, Ivan James Jr., Abigail Minus, Patricia(PJ) James, Harry James, Jeremy Rolle, Ivan James, Ervin James, Jackie James, Sabrina James Flowers, Eldora James, Troy James, Sharon James, Brandon Burrows, Kevin Lockhart, Mona Knowles, Mika Thompson, Krista Burrows, Pina Davis and Stanya Davis. Cousins include Rosabelle Bethel, Shirley Gibson, Althea McMillan, Miriam Smith, Netta Bowen, Athama Bowe, Anthony Bowe, Cabrena Bowe; Cat Island Clans- the King, McKay, Moncur, Greenslade families, and the descendants of Justina Wallace-James and William James of Montego Bay, Jamaica. A service to honor his life will be held at Transfiguration Baptist Church, Vesey Street at 1pm, Friday, January 24, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish to make a donation to help settle his medical expenses and affairs, there will be offering envelopes available at the service.

There will be no public viewing (he was vain).
