Funeral service for
Retired Reserved Police R75 Cardinal Rodney York Stubbs, 85

a resident of Spring Terrace East, Gleniston Gardens & formerly of Dumfries, Cat Island, will be held at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Wulff & Baillou Hill Roads, on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.  Officiating will be Canon Basil Tynes. Interment follows in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, John F. Kennedy Drive.

Cardinal was predeceased by his parents York and Estelle Stubbs, his wife of many years Vera Stubbs, brothers Earnest and Leslie Stubbs and eldest son, Elvis Stubbs.

Left to cherish found memories are: former spouses: Rosena Johnson and Patricia Thompson-Stubbs nee Jones, sons: Rudolph, Phillip, Thomas Edison, Edward Dwight, Gregory and Gary Stubbs, step sons: Wenzel, Glen, Dodrick, Patrick and Brian Connolly, daughters: Kathymae Stubbs-Johnson, Whitlyn (Basil) Miller, Cheryl Robinson, step daughters: Sandra Yordy, Paulette Connolly-Watkins, Barbara Rahming, Sharon (James) Connolly-Slater, adopted daughters: Tamara Reckley, Terry Walters, sisters: Carnetta and Naomi Stubbs, Marilyn Johnson, nieces: Apostle Terry (Bradley Sr.) Moxey, Princess (Henry) Johnson, Jacqueline and Fredericka Johnson, daughters-in-law: Gia Stubbs, Sherilyn Stubbs, Linda Ash Stubbs, grand children: William and Kiera, Thomas Jr., Jessica Rodney, Basil Miller III, Ashland, Ashton, Dwight, Annastacia and Gregory Stubbs Jr.; numerous step grandchildren including: Walden Russell, Yvette Robinson, Kino and Fabian Rolle, MaShanti Clarke, Wenzel Jr, Lateko, Leandra, Leante, Rico, Dodrick Jr,,Brandee and Mateo Connolly, great grandchildren, grand nieces and nephews and cousins too numerous to mention.

Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte’s Funeral Home, Market Street, from 12-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 12:00 noon until service time.
