Minister expresses sadness after 30 die in Haitian sloop tragedy
11.00am UPDATE: MINISTER of Foreign Affairs Fred Mitchell expressed his deep regret and sadness over the deaths of 30 Haitian nationals who drowned at sea in the Exuma chain on Monday.

A TEAM from the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and the US Coast Guard are fighting rough seas as they work to extract a large group of Haitian nationals from a sloop which ran aground west of the Exuma chain during Monday's storm.
