Heavy rain and storm warning for residents in southeast Bahamas
RESIDENTS in the southeast Bahamas were expected to experience pockets of heavy rain and thunderstorms last night, as a tropical wave called Invest 99L continues to move through the islands.

A STRONG tropical wave is expected to dump three to four inches of rain and cause severe flooding as it passes over the Bahamas beginning today, Deputy Director of the Department of Meteorology Basil Dean warned yesterday.
