'We will march without permission'
DESPITE being denied the use of Rawson and Parliament Squares for a protest on Majority Rule Day in January, We March Bahamas organiser John Bostwick II said yesterday the demonstration “will go on as planned, on the same route as planned” even without the government’s permission.
Think tank forum held in wake of protest march
AS it moved into the second phase of its national protest action, the We March Bahamas movement launched its first in a series of think tank forums last evening, with officials aiming to convert the support gathered through last month’s march and occupation of Rawson Square into “tangible solutions.”
‘Civil disobedience needs to be directed’
CIVIL disobedience can be used to achieve greater fairness, accountability and performance from government if it is organised and clearly directed, a university lecturer has advised.
