HEALTH Minister Dr Duane Sands yesterday expressed empathy for health professionals at Rand Memorial Hospital and their concerns regarding the suitability of the field tent hospital which is temporarily housing patients.
Expanded testing to begin
EXPANDED COVID-19 testing will begin this weekend on high-risk populations, as the number of confirmed cases increased by one to 54 yesterday and another death from the disease was recorded.
COVID-19: One additional death, one newly-confirmed case
At a press conference on Thursday evening, Minister of Health Dr Duane Sands confirmed that there has been one additional death due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of fatalities to nine. The latest fatality was a 51-year-old man from New Providence.
