Now is the time to roll out a National Get Healthy programme. Obesity is epidemic in our country; we must improve the individual levels of health. Look around at the numbers of adults and children, professionals and ordinary citizens bursting out of their clothes...Spending almost one billion dollars annually in health care is too costly for us. I dread to see the outcomes when this new Catastrophic Insurance scheme kicks in! That $1,000 will soon escalate making it very difficult to maintain a satisfactory level of care for us plus adding to the burden of taxation. Let's prepare for this by dealing with root causes now. The health of our nation is in our hands and we must do the right things now not later!
A classic business case study offered here...would love to read the findings!
And what did we get in return??
So sad! Weep for our country. However, the police will find them, for sure. Deepest sympathy to the family.
And why do they charge $5 to cash a cheque if you don't have an account there? Poor people without accounts cannot afford to lose money for foolishness!
I witnessed the deplorable state of the once beautiful beach area in GB once filming of Pirates ended. Disney walked away without a care! Even now the area still bears the scars. We don't want a repeat of that scenario with another pristine Bahamian asset. Tell 'em to get lost!
How many guests needed monthly to make it pay? Where will they come from and how will they be enticed? Will they come?
In my humble opinion, the essential issue is bringing the bodies in to put in the beds no matter who buys them! Resolve that and maybe they will come. Heard a comment on the BBC Travel Show that the Bahamas had nothing to offer visitors so they should go elsewhere! But that's another issue.
Our biggest bugbear is Recycling! No island has a successful program in place but let's keep trying to do the right things. Our children will thank us.
Increase the fine and make it hurt! Trouble is who is going to report the transgression? Never a policeman or security around when you need 'em.
