In my humble opinion, the essential issue is bringing the bodies in to put in the beds no matter who buys them! Resolve that and maybe they will come. Heard a comment on the BBC Travel Show that the Bahamas had nothing to offer visitors so they should go elsewhere! But that's another issue.
Our biggest bugbear is Recycling! No island has a successful program in place but let's keep trying to do the right things. Our children will thank us.

Please explain how the Vat-free products are handled at the cashier. You get one receipt for all your items and the Vat is added at the end. How can I check on my Vat-free charges? Beats me! Thanks

I too object to this double taxation! You forgot to mention how the Vat is added at Every point in the transaction when handled by another vendor. So, at the end, you pay on the higher value plus the seller's markup. We cannot afford to live like this!
