Hope they are not planning to penalize us who use US medical facilities! They already make us have US prescriptions rewritten by Bahamian doctors before having them filled locally. Having experienced medical facilities in both places, I do lean more toward the foreign ones. An example: foreign nurses provide bed pans if needed; locals ignore request, hoping patients will get up anyway to go even wearing a leg cast...We have a long way to go .Thank goodness for medical insurance that allows choice of the options. One day we'll reach the first world.
Pray, God. Amen
Wake up call! Time to take stock and set new strategies...GB is still floundering, by the way...
So exciting! Congrats to all our athletes l
Far better to look at an LG project or a solar/wind farm to produce alternative sources. In addition, perhaps revisiting fish farming and/ or vegetable/herbs hydroponics could be worth the effort.
So sad! God blessings on them all, and prayers for the dear children to live happy and fulfilling lives.
And they want to allow a refinery in the beautiful pristine waters of Grand Bahama?? Heaven help us!
Great potential for prosperity... But it is a small beautiful island that may lose its charm in the move toward growth. What about the infrastructure? Power, water, waste disposal, roads? These have been troublesome for a long time!
A genuine National Hero! No blemish on his reputation. I admire his unselfish generosity, wholehearted commitment to our country and people without reservation and to his family and friends. Think about his image on a bank note as well as a statue. Ensure he is remembered!
Why are we surprised and angered? Just look at the verges all over our country...disgusting results from ordinary Bahamians, not visitors. Ever noticed a driver tossing trash out the window as he/she drives? Sometimes while children watch, so why be surprised. Wish I knew the answer to this vexing problem.
