Woman accused over mausoleum theft

A WOMAN allegedly stole more than $40,000 from a mausoleum where she worked.

Temicka Barr-Gomez, 34, of South Beach, stood before magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis facing nine counts of stealing by reason of employment where the victim of the alleged crimes is Lakeview Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum.

It was claimed that between August 16, 2011 and March 21 of this year Barr-Gomez stole $40,360 from the mausoleum through her employment as their office manager.

Barr-Gomez denied the charges and pleaded not guilty.

She was granted $25,000 bail with two suretors.
Her trial dates are October 22, 23 and 24.
