Angels and demons

EDITOR, The Tribune.

I submit that Angels and Demons do exist and I propose to substantiate this proposition by spiritual and empirical evidence. As a Divine Illuminator and a member of the craft, it has long been my stance that The Bahamas, as indeed the world itself, is populated not only with human beings, et al, but with invisible entities which are either “good” or “bad”.

It is recorded that “there was rebellion” in Heaven and that one third of the angels residing there joined forces with Lucifer, Son of the Morning Star. At the conclusion of the unsuccessful rebellion they were cast out of Heaven and sent to the Earth. Here, to this very day, they remain.

Lucifer’s original intention was to take over Heaven and to depose Yahweh from His throne. As literal Prime Minister of the celestial kingdom Lucifer felt that he was more qualified than God to run things up there. God, in his twisted way of thinking was “too soft and loving” (sounds like anyone we know here in The Bahamas?)

There is no hard evidence to suggest when the rebellion took place or whether or not humans had already been created by Jehovah but according to the Bible, many of the angels, now demons, became involved sexually with human beings and produced offspring who were apparently giants. They took on the “evil” characteristics of their demonic parents.

How it is that these fallen angels/demons were able to take on humanistic forms is not revealed and has never been figured out except by members of the illuminati.

The succubus and incubus are still in our midst and they are still able to seduce, sexually and morally, ordinary human beings.

Science has not yet been able to prove or disprove the existence of spiritual beings but the metaphysician and their acolytes through much research and study of ancient manuscripts have been able to unlock the divine codes.

From the 14th and 15th centuries “learned” men and some women came to know much that ordinary persons will never know. Not that they were any smarter but because they dared to investigate and question traditional beliefs.

One such individual was Galileo Galilei, the fabled astronomer. He once opined: “Science is written in the biggest of all books, the universe, which is permanently open before our eyes, but it cannot be understood without learning to understand its language and the characters with which it is written....’

In short, the universe is populated by the forces of good and evil, both of which I submit were created by God Himself. Why He did this is beyond logical thinking but from a mathematical and theological stance it becomes clear that to every action there must be a reaction.

Where there is a negative atom there must be a positive neutron. These are the unshakeable laws of nature. “Heaven and Earth may pass away but never the word (principles or concepts) of God. Hence we have angels (the good force) and demons (the evil force). They both have a vital role to play in this never ending conflict between good and evil.

Here in The Bahamas we have now recorded some 100 alleged homicides. Vicious personal assaults against the person; armed robberies; rapes and white collar crime continue to plague the nation almost unabated. There is alleged corruption in high and low places within our society.

Politicians and their cronies sing a siren song during electoral campaigns and afterwards they are nowhere to be found or accessed. I do not suggest for one minute that our politicians are sons of perdition or that they may be possessed by demons.

Look at some of their collective characteristics, however, and the methods which they employ to seduce the average voter: the promise of a government job; the seduction of both females and males; giving out a fistful of dollars; trinkets and toys; attending funerals and weddings as “guests of honour” and sucking up to those with money and influence.

A noted Spanish philosopher once wrote: “The study of politics is employed in covering the face of the lie, which appears to be the truth, hiding the deceit and disguising the designs....” (Diego de Saavedra) In our nation, politicians of all stripes saturate us with patently bogus and possibly fraudulent promises which they know they have no intention of keeping or even delivering on.

Yet another ancient metaphysician opined: “Politics is the art of serving men making believe that it serves them....’ (Louis Dumbur) Indeed, it is the art and the perfection of the big bamboozle.”

Thank God that there is still a modicum of “good” persons in the wider world inclusive of The Bahamas. Many of them keep a low profile and do what they do anonymously. They are known, however, by their calmness; benign attitude; charity and the natural glow which permeates their lives and continence. These are the symbols of angels.

There are others, however, within our society who are hell bent on wrecking total havoc and destruction come hell or high water. These, I submit, are the sons of perdition and demons. They are known by their constant preying on others; stealing; lying; public lewdness; public cussing and intoxication; sacrilegious behaviour and a total disregard for fellow human beings.

Just the very look on their faces is often able to tell you that their spiritual father is the Devil himself. In our churches one will easily discover that some of them are infested with demons of the fourth degree. Known homosexuals and lesbians are creased up in many pulpits and choirs.

Many of our men and women of the cloth are in hot pursuit of “filthy” lucre and to hell with the concerns of their congregations.

A big expensive American or European made motor vehicle is mandatory. Let members of the congregation ride the jitney or walk.

It is also ordained that pastor or the prophetess live behind the gated communities or on millionaire’s row.

Yes beloved, there are angels and demons and they are not all in Heaven or in Hell. And it is written: “There was rebellion in Heaven.....” As it is written, so does it exist to this very day. Rebellion is in the nation, inclusive of civil society; the political arena and within the church. To God then, in all things, be the glory.
