A 17-year-old boy became the country’s latest murder victim when he was gunned down in broad daylight.
According to reports, the teen, who sources say is Trevon Black of Meadow Lane, East Street, was standing with a group of men around 4pm in the area of Dunmore Street and Hospital Lane, when they were approached by a man with a gun.
The gunman fired several shots in their direction, hitting Trevon in the chest.
He was taken to hospital in a private vehicle, but died of his injuries.
Police have one man in custody.

The killing pushes the country’s murder count to 88 for the year.
