Nothing impossible

THE lesson to be learnt from the story about the virgin Mary becoming pregnant with Jesus Christ, is with God nothing shall be impossible.

As the story is told, Mary was a virgin and engaged to a man by the name of Joseph. She was visited by an angel who brought the good news that she would become pregnant.

The news of her pregnancy was a hard pill to swallow because Mary knew she was a virgin, never engaged in any sexual activity with Joseph and that a woman conceiving without having the sperm of a man was naturally impossible. Yet she bypassed natural processes of conception, became pregnant and gave birth to a son.

Examples of natural impossibilities becoming possible occurs all through the bible. And even today believers testify to supernatural things happening in their lives. Luke 1:37 which states “For with God nothing shall be impossible, along with the supernatural testimonies from believers, suggests strongly that Christians are to never disregard or limit the supernatural power of God to earthly experiences.

“Today’s believers should be confident that no matter what they are going through or how difficult their situation maybe. Absolutely nothing is impossible for God to deal with. The angel in speaking with Mary also spoke to her concerning her cousin Elisabeth who was well advanced in age, she was barren and by all natural sense of the matter was noted as impossible to give birth especially at her age. But she did,” said Pastor Matthew Allen.

When a believer receives revelation of this particular scripture their faith is taken to a whole new level and all doubts, and impossibility notions they struggled with are immediately cast aside and replaced with a spirit of expectancy.

“I got a revelation on this verse and every single thing I prayed about, I am expecting from God. I know will eventually come to pass because God said in his word that nothing is impossible with him. No one can never tell me that I cannot be debt free, or own a beautiful home or have a good health all the days of my life. God is not a liar or else he would not be God. If he said that nothing is impossible then nothing is impossible,” said Tameka a Christian follower.

The truth in the verse Pastor Allen said applies to everything that lines up with the word of God - healing, deliverance, a perfect spiritual life, and more.

“As believers not knowing the will plans of God for our lives is not a sin. All we have to do, is go to him inquire of his plans and purposes for our lives. This verse really do apply to everything that lines up with the will of God for our lives (individually collectively). The problem that most believers have is that of knowing and understanding God’s will and plans for our lives. Therefore not knowing God’s will and plans for our lives we often throw up in the air or to a wall the things that we were believing God for. If some of them comes through, we say “It’s the will of God” and if they don’t we say “That was not the will of God for our lives”. It’s almost like living a hit and missed life or playing spiritual Russian Roulette,” he said.

“This verse is so empowering not only because we know and receive it as the word of God, but also because it lets us know that we serve and worship the one true God of possibilities.”
