The call to reawaken: Womanly Wisdom

By MICHELLE M MILLER

For some reason, whenever the dialogue turns towards the subject of womanhood, equality, inner Goddess or womanly wisdom, there’s a subtle tendency on the part of many women to tread gingerly. I am not quite sure, why this is the case. Nonetheless, there is dire need to reawaken womanly wisdom.

Rather than a so called reality check, what many of us really need is a deep-rooted wake up call to raise the voice of our silence and speak fearlessly for the common good.

I was grateful to have grown up with three wise women: my great-grandmother, grandmother and mother. I understand all too well the life-changing power of womanly wisdom. Today, however - where is this sense of womanly wisdom?

The sad reality is many women are doubtful about this innate power. Living in a society overwhelmed by social challenges, the notion of womanly wisdom appears an abandoned landscape.

This may be due to the focus of the female agenda and the degree to which we are focused on building the society we want live in. Whether we accept it or not, we are the voice of influence; the life bearers and social gatekeepers. It is our words and ideals that paint the mural of human life. When we are out of focus, our role and responsibility become foggy.

Even still, I also understand that many women are also facing unbelievable challenges. And the idea to reawaken wisdom may seem too far stretched. Struggling with little support takes its toll and leads to a sense of powerlessness.

However, when we function from a position of powerlessness, our self-worth and courage can be compromised; leading to personal and family dysfunction. The society as a whole drifts into disrepair.

As such, womanly wisdom is about honouring the Goddess within; garnering a deeper understanding of the true purpose of our role. Like Mother Nature nurtures the earth, women are to nurture human life.

This intuitive power is not something we must seek to find; it already resides within. To engage it we must learn to lean inward rather than outward.

Ultimately, life is about oneness; everything is connected. The call for reawakening wisdom is beyond the superficial. At a deeper consciousness, something amazing is happening in the hearts of women everywhere.

We are on the verge of a transformative paradigm shift that has world changing potential. Millions of women across the world are sensing an inner call to reawaken wisdom and engage intuitive power. In so doing, we realign our roles, strengthen our capacity and co-create the future of our world.

It is an evolutionary change in which women today can shape the future of the global community. The big question is where do the women of these amazing Bahama Islands fit in this colossal global shift? Are we prepared to answer such a call?

Alas, there are many who may be uncomfortable with this notion. Indeed, seeing themselves as a ‘Woman of God’ is much more popular than awakening the intuitive power of the ‘Goddess’ within. Yet, deep within, there is a small voice, a life force ready to light up the world.

The saying that the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world is not just a great quote. It is an empowering poem by William Ross Wallace published in 1865, which praises motherhood as the preeminent force for change in the world.

Even way back then, Mr. Wallace saw the power within women. Now we are called to see this within ourselves. When we own our truth we learn to function within the presence rather than the absence of God.

Reawakening requires honest introspection to clearly defining what our role, as women will be in creating the future of our world. Whilst we may be at different levels in our understanding, what is important is to know that wherever you are, the power is already within. You need only open your heart to something bigger.

The call to reawaken womanly wisdom is a unifying call for the greater good. To inspire the dreams of our children, uplift our men and give birth to an improved society.

It is a role that each of us can choose to play. Make today the day that you take the lead in reawakening your womanly wisdom.

Now is the perfect time to shift your life paradigm.
