Showers and thunderstorms on the way

MORE rain has been forecast, with showers and thunderstorms predicted across the islands for tonight and the week ahead.

The National Emergency Management Committee said the rest of today will be muggy and warm with scattered showers and widely scattered thunderstorms mainly across the Northwest and Southeast islands;

Tomorrow is forecast to be muggy and warm during the day with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Northwest and Southeast Bahamas; nighttime will see scattered showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms over most islands;

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy to overcast with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across the Northwest Bahamas but variable clouds and warm with few showers across the Central and Southeast Bahamas during the day.

Thursday will be cloudy to overcast and warm with scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly across the Northwest and Central Islands.

Night will be partly cloudy with few showers in the Southeast Bahamas;

Friday will be mostly cloudy to overcast with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Northwest Bahamas but partly cloudy with few showers across Central and Southeast Bahamas.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy, muggy and warm with isolated showers and a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm over the Northwest and Central Bahamas. Mostly sunny and warm over the Southeast Bahamas; Sunday will be partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers and the chance of afternoon thunderstorms in the Northwest and Central Bahamas. Mostly sunny and warm across the Southeast Bahamas; partly cloudy at night with few lingering showers likely in the Northwest Bahamas.
