KNOWLES

BACK IN ACTION

MARK Knowles will come out of a brief retirement this week when he plays in the men’s doubles match with Australia’s Lleyton Hewitt in the prestigious Wimbledon Grand Slam Tournament at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London, England.

The unseeded team of Knowles and Hewitt will be matched against Jamie Delgado of Great Britain and Matthew Ebden of Australia. If successful, Knowles and Hewitt could probably face the team of Leander Paes of India and Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic or Daniele Bracciali from Italy and Jonathan Erlich from Israel.

The top seeded team is the American identical twin brothers Bob and Mike Bryan. The Spanish team of Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez are No.2.

It’s not known if Knowles will also contest the mixed doubles. The draw will be released on Wednesday.
