I do not know how a responsible government can agree with any of its members saying that the mid-term budget practice should be stopped.
Are they suggesting that we go back to the end of year exercise, when everyone is too busy to keep a close watch on what is being done in the budget process?
Those who have an eye on leadership any time soon should put their brain in gear before they open their mouths about something that is working well and has an inherent transparency component; the public wants to know how their money is being spent.
