To, in a very different way, wage a war against crime in The Bahamas, how about our government investing however many million dollars it takes to see that every yard in the Bahamas has at least three different fruit-bearing trees growing? The quality of life I assure you would be greatly enhanced. The sense of wellbeing in the entire Bahamas I am certain would be transformed!

It would certainly lead to a greater sense of harmony nationwide. This is just one suggestion, but what I am suggesting is that water needs to be thrown on fire rather than the present modus operandi of without end, fighting fire with fire.

Art and artists, poets and poetry, all the creative arts need to be emphasised, nationwide, as it is impossible to think creatively and destructively at the same time: one counteracting the other just as if you say “rats!” you cannot at the same time cry.
