AN “America’s Next Top Model” winner and a dancer who has performed alongside Beyonc� are among the cadre of fashion and beauty industry professionals visiting the Bahamas this week for a unique workshop and model search.

Deiwght Peters, CEO Saint International (Jamaica), and international fashion writer/guru and fashion editorial director at Profiles98 Magazine Walter Greene will be visiting Nassau for the upcoming Fashion Faces of the Bahamas events.

Other special guests include ANTM Cycle 14 Winner Krista White and professional dancer Khadija Nicholas, who recently shot to fame after she was selected for the cover of Pharell’s “Marilyn Monroe” single.

A two-day workshop takes place this Friday and Saturday at the British Colonial Hilton from 11am to 4pm in the lead-up to the model search on Sunday at the John Watling’s Distillery at 6.30pm.

Tercena Carey, publisher and editor-in-chief of Profiles98 Magazine, said the publication is presenting the model search competition and supporting workshops sessions in conjunction with Saint International (Jamaica), the top model agency in the Caribbean.

“Saint International will sign the top three winners of this model search and they will travel to Jamaica to compete in the Fashion Faces of the Caribbean model search next year. They will also be featured on the cover of an upcoming issue of Profiles98 Magazine,” she said.

When the Fashion Faces of the Bahamas contenders clash on stage for the final night competition, Ms Carey said, it will be the culmination of several intense workshops, seminars, model coaching sessions, photo shoots, make-overs, one-on-one interviews and model challenges designed to prepare models starting out in the fashion industry.

The contenders will be judged by a panel led by Deiwght Peters, which also includes the three other international guests.
