St Agnes Bible School gets creative

THE Vacation Bible School at St Agnes this year embarked on a “momentous journey”, during which students were taught the word of God through utilising innovative, exciting and creative means.

Additionally, all participants both young and old discovered the value of praising God and celebrating Him for His marvellous works, the church said.

“The power of praise is evident in the fact that God has brought us a mighty long way. On this our sixth year anniversary partakers took a trip back to a time when simple liberties that we take for granted today were forbidden for many of God’s people. However, through faith and determination they gained freedom, by praising and thanking God for His great works,” church officials said in a statement.

To this end camp-goers paused to praise God by displaying their talents. Students engaged in drum making, singing, dancing, baking and by simply making their hearts alert, as well as keeping their minds open to receiving the indestructible ever living word of God.

The Vacation Bible School was made possible through the support of the church’s rector, Archdeacon I Ranfurly Brown, Father Neil Nairn and the office staff. Special thanks was given to the members of the St Agnes parish for their donations and to David Knowles of Pro Photo for capturing the moment of the camp’s visit to Government House.

“Finally, special thanks to the hard working members of the Christian Education Ministry and the support team for making Vacation Bible School 2014 a great success,” the church said.
