Regulators, Cybots pull off victories in NPBA

THE Patron Regulators and Mail Boat Cybots pulled off victories as the New Providence Basketball Association continued its regular season at the AF Adderley Gymnasium on Monday night.

In the opening game, the Regulators prevailed with a 91-76 victory over the Y-Care Wreckers, while the Cybots knocked off the Rythm Rebels 110-102 in the feature game.

Regulators 91, Wreckers 76

Alex Rolle scored 28 points and pulled down four rebounds to lead Patron to victory. Lamar Watkins added 17 points with 14 rebounds and dished out four assists.

Cruz Simon had 11 points and eight rebounds, Cordero Thompson had nine points and five rebounds, Robert Missick scored eight points with nine rebounds and three assists, Kenneth Pratt had seven points, Gameliel Rose added seven points with eight rebounds and Lloyd Bailey and Fabian Lightbourne both chipped in with six points.

In a losing effort, Randy Williams scored a game high 19 points, Lorenzo Carter had 12 points and four rebounds, Omerka Watson had 11 points and 10 rebounds and Jeremy Neely had 10 points, four rebounds and three assists.

Tavares Roker had nine points, four rebounds and five assists and Lerecus Armbrister scored eight points with six rebounds and four assists.

Cybots 110, Rebels 102

Eugene Bain exploded for a game high 28 points, 11 rebounds and four assists to lead Mail Boat to victory. Ernest Saunders had 22 points and six assists, Ahmad Bootle had 20 points and Delvonne Duncombe scored 26 points with seven rebounds.

In a losing effort, Deangelo Duncombe pumped in 27 points with three rebounds and four assists. Henry Burnside had 24 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, Devon Brennen scored 17 points with 12 rebounds, Anthony Williams had 13 points and 13 rebounds, Andrew King scored 11 points with six rebounds and three assists and Perry Thompson chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.

The league will close out the first half of its season with a double header tonight. In the 7pm opener, Commonwealth Bank Giants are slated to play the Pyramid Food Rockets and, in the feature game, Real Deal Shockers are set to face Double R Services Limited Cleaners in the feature game.
