Price swoop

EDITOR, The Tribune.

I found it quite interesting that the Permanent Secretary of The Ministry of Labour and National Insurance should personally descend on Super Value Food Stores accompanied by a team of no less than ten Price Control inspectors.

I am curious as to how many other food store operations, large or small, have been singled out for a visit from this illustrious team, or does one need to be openly and outspokenly opposed to VAT to be deserving of the honour?

Just food for thought…

It is just that prices at SV are out of control, and have been for quite a while.

When I find old stock items with old prices, I demand they sell me for the old price and they comply.

There is no significant difference between the prices of price-controlled items between SV and their competitors.

Fruit has alwats been way cheaper at Solomon's.

Some times are absurdly priced, like greek yogurt, but the brie cheese is very cheap.
