THE defending champions Phillies, sponsored by Scotiabank, took home another 1st place finish in the Junior Baseball League action recently.
The Phillies faced the relentless Yankees, sponsored by French’s, in a scheduled three game series at the JBLN Field of Dreams.
The Phillies took the first game 19–5 but the Yankees answered the challenge in the second game winning 17-11 and forcing a game three.
The Phillies were not ready to hand over their title and in a “battle of the bats” were able to win game three by a score of 25-16.
Congratulations are extended to the Yankees who were most worthy opponents.
The Phillies thanked the JBLN for another great season.
