On behalf of the few remaining veterans of the Nassau Branch of the British Legion and the Royal Society of St George, I should like to thank the general public for their donations, no matter how small, when buying poppies.
Our thanks also to the various retailers who kindly agreed to sell poppies in their stores. In spite of the current economic situation, everyone’s generosity is so appreciated by these forgotten men.
It is the money raised from these poppies which helps support these veterans and their families.
They served their country during World War II to keep our Bahamas free and for this reason alone, we have a duty and responsibility to remember and honour them. My gratitude to all.

We really hope that those persons fronting for the Veterans in The Bahamas are more honest than the VA dept in the USA
