“DUNKING For Boobies”, a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness hosted by Radio House and the Bahamas Breast Cancer Initiative Foundation (BBCIF), proved an overwhelming success on Friday morning, raising $3,400 in just four hours.

Rush hour traffic backed up along Shirley Street as drivers stopped to make donations to the breast cancer foundation and see DJs, personalities, sponsors and guests dropped into a water tank outside Radio House. Listeners phoned in with pledges to ensure on-air personalities from 100Jamz, Cool 96, Y98 FM and Joy FM received an early soaking.

The Tribune Media Group stations at Radio House were joined by representatives from Doctors Hospital, BBCIF, CIBC FirstCaribbean Bank, Caribbean Bottling Company, Back to Health and Walk for the Cure to “flood the streets with awareness”. Laughter and cheers filled the air, one dunk at a time. Doctors Hospital CEO Charles Sealy and Trevor Torzsas, CIBC FirstCaribbean’s Managing Director of Customer Relationship Management & Strategy, sportingly joined in the fun and took their dunking.
