A BAHAMIAN man is missing at sea after encountering bad weather during a fishing trip off Great Isaac Cay, near the Berry Islands.

Inspector Terecita Pinder told The Tribune on Monday that there was still no word about the missing Bahamian crewman who disappeared from the fishing vessel, Sea Farmer, on Friday.

Grand Bahama police are investigating the incident and report that shortly after 7am, the vessel was some 20 miles north east of Bimini fishing when she encountered bad weather.

Around 1pm, two members of the crew were discovered missing and a short time later the body of one, a Dominican, was discovered, but the other, a Bahamian, was not found.

The body of the Dominican crewman was discovered Friday around 1pm.

The body was brought to Grand Bahama and taken to the morgue at the Rand Memorial Hospital.

The identities of the victims are being withheld by police at this time.
