Please save Bennetton

EDITOR, The Tribune.

I have been a satisfied customer of The United Colours of Benneton since I was nineteen years old.

I could always be  sure I  would find quality, elegant clothing for any occasion. In addition there were always great items on sale.

However, once the Bay Street store closed, I could no longer find the variety in style or selection in women’s clothing.

Recently while I was at the Old Fort Bay store, I was  informed that the new owner was phasing out the Benetton brand. I was devastated. Could someone please find Ms Lotmore, the previous owner to revive the Benetton brand and take it back to its former glory?

Even if she does not wish to take it on again she may be able to encourage someone with her sense of style to revive the brand.

Nassau needs Benetton.

This is a sincere plea for help.

The Benetton of today is not the Benetton of the 90's that Mrs Lotmore operated. The quality of the clothing is well below her standard. The current store is a reflection of the state of Bay Street, perhaps the reason for it dying too.
