The only option for Davis is to resign

EDITOR, The Tribune.

The Philip Davis statement on BASMI Insurance, Parliament Wednesday March 11, 2015.

Incredibly, we listened to the twisting and twisting how the eloquent Barrister was going to try to disengage from the obvious.

Ministry of Public Works and Urban Development as a result of the lack of  professional follow-up screwed up and the contractor never obtained the required contractual building and risks insurance.

Forget the building burning down. Imagine if any of the construction workers had been injured permanently or killed? No recourse, tough.

Under the Westminster system, a Minister caught in such a mess has only one recourse unless they wish to make a mockery of the system… resign.

I presume all who were watching channel 40 heard the Representative of Centreville/Farm Road say to Minister Davis… You do realise if the arsonist had not burnt the building we would have never known.

A most inappropriate statement which needs a full explanation, Mr Speaker.

Is the leader of government implying if there was no fire no one would ever have known what in all practicality was a breach of basic construction contract protocol?

Editor, how much further is this government willing to take us to absolute lawlessness?

The FNM needs to file an action with The Commonwealth over the abuses of this PLP government since it came to power in 2012. This PLP government is bringing international disrepute on our country like Pindling back in the 1980s ....................... Perry gone bananas

As my dear 'ole Grand Pappy used to say: "Just cut to the chase ma boy!" In other words, forget the pudgy worthless Davis guy with the short stubby grubby dirty sticky fingers because the root of the problem is Perry "Vomit" Christie who lacks the balls needed to control the very Ministers that he himself appointed in the PLP controlled House of Assembly!!!
