Are we a rogue nation?

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Your Editorial of today, 6th April 2016, coupled with The Tribune headline of the same day, with Minister Fitzgerald expressing no concern about the data misappropriation, and all in the aftermath of the House and Senate opening the way to another Referendum, leads one to wonder, what in the hell is the point of a Referendum.

The last Referendum was hijacked, the Government has no respect for the laws of the land, nor the Constitutional right of all people living here to privacy, and you have laid out today, by chapter and verse, how the Royal Bahamas Police Force has failed utterly to give protection and safety to citizens and residents of this country. And the Commissioner seems not even to know that there has been a failure.

I see no point in spending any more time, energy, or money, on holding a Referendum, aimed at amending our sadly broken Constitution, or our laws that do not apply equally to everyone. We could instead be the centrepiece of a new “Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation ” movie. Such a thriller could be fully caste in the Bahamas, mainly by Government Ministers, with a couple of expatriate residents included for a bit of colour, and the whole thing could be shot at the Baha Mar Convention Centre with the full delegation of Inter American States members coming to the Rescue!

All may not be lost yet !

This 'people' need to be arrested!

I don't usually pray, but here it goes... Please God, I pray, strike down these useless, corrupt MP's. Why do you forsake us? Are we not worth saving?

Do this for me tonight dear God.

TOGGIE AND BOBO could play the good guys in the movie. The Commissioner could be a double agent and the plot would just be day to day life in the SUNNY FRIGGIN BAHAMAS !

Brudda sheeprunner, you really need to get over this thing you got 'bout people who name ain Wells, Carroll, Cartwright, Rolle, Bain, you get my drift, not being Bahamian. I personally know some folks who name even een close to somethin Bahamian but their family been here since the seventen hundreds. And where you think all them good Bahamian names come from in the first place, England and Scotland for the most part. Sure as shit ain none a dem African.
