IN Bahamas Development Soccer League’s Knock Out Cups, Domino’s-sponsored Manta Rays soccer club dominated the competition. Overall, the group won titles in three divisions and made it to the semi-final rounds in another two divisions.

Manta Rays players secured the title in the under- 6 category, beating the Pirates in a close 1-0 victory. The under-14 boys edged out Lyford Cay for the win and the club’s under-12 girls also won overall in their age division.

This is the second season Domino’s has sponsored the youth soccer club. Shirlen Godet, brand manager, congratulated the players on their strong performance in the recent finals.

“The entire Manta Rays club did an exceptional job in all divisions. The kids played with heart and we are particularly proud of their growth and progress this season,” Godet said.

“All of the youth players in the league demonstrate what our company represents - commitment and dedication. A special thanks to the Manta Rays coaches and parents for working with the kids and showing them that hard work truly pays off.”

The partnership between Domino’s and the soccer club includes the sponsorship of uniforms and equipment for more than 125 of the club’s players.

“All of our age groups worked hard and we have had a very successful year,” said club president Tanya Carey.

“We would like to thank Domino’s for their ongoing support over the past two seasons.”
