Murder suspect dies in hospital after shootout with police

A MAN being held on double murder and firearm charges died in hospital on Sunday night after being shot by police the previous day.

The suspect was reported by police to have been shot during an exchange of gunfire on Saturday at Greenwich Street, off Mason’s Way. He was transported to hospital, where he died around 6pm on Sunday.

Police recovered a handgun and ammunition from the suspect at the scene of the shooting.

The Coroner, Jeanine Weech-Gomez, has begun an investigation into the incident.

Why does the PMH doctors even try to save these serial criminals' lives anyway??????? ........ that is an absolute waste of scarce resources ........... that sounds bad but it is true
