NPBA: Bucket, Shockers Stingers in the win column

THE Aliv Bucket, Seafood Shockers and PJ Stingers were winners of the New Providence Basketball Association’s triple header at the AF Adderley Gymnasium on Saturday night.

Aliv Bucket drowned the Caro Contractors Resistance 96-80 in the opener, Seafood Shockers defeated the Fort Charlotte Defenders 65-58 in the middle game and the PJ Stingers stung the Caro Contractors Pirates 105-101.

Three players came off the bench and led a balanced scoring attack for Aliv in their rout.

Detarrio Thompson had 16 points, four rebounds, four steals and two assists, Levonne Moxey had 15 points and three steals and Kieran Mortimer added 13 points and eight rebounds. Dylan Musgrove, in his starting role, also contributed 13 points with eight rebounds and three blocked shots, while Anwar Neilly had 11 points and three rebounds.

In a losing effort for Caro Contractors, Marcian Higgins had 12 points and three rebounds, Shaquille Outten 11 points and three steals, Tyreke Colebrooke 10 points and two rebounds, Shannon Phillips came off the bench with 11 points and four rebounds, as did Matthew Davis with 10 points and two rebounds.

Lenny Oscar, in his starting role, shared game high honours with 18 points, nine rebounds and three assists with Cameron Adderley off the bench with 18 as well with seven rebounds and a pair of blocks.

William Rigby chipped in with 14 points, 13 rebounds, three steals and two assists.

In a losing effort for the Defenders, Charaz LaFleur had 12 points, six steals and three rebounds, Carrington Dean had 11 points and nine rebounds, Gregory Storr had eight points and nine rebounds, Leon Rahming had seven points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals and Oneil Evans had seven points and five rebounds.

PJ’s Stingers 105,

Able Joseph led a balanced scoring attack for the Stingers with 22 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals, Scottie Farrington had 16 points, four rebounds and four assists, Randy Williams came off the bench with 14 points and five rebounds as did Brian Bain with 13 points, four rebounds, two steals and two blocks and Eugene Bain chipped in with 13 points in a starting role.

Torringrton Cox had seven points, five rebounds and four assists and Horris McKenzie finished with six points.

Dominique Fernander poured in a game high 34 points with nine rebounds and four steals in a losing effort. Kronoff Dean had 20 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals, Donathan Johnson had 14 points, four rebounds and two steals, Christoff Stuart had nine points and five rebounds and Elvardo Burrows added seven points with three rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals.
