Young child among injured in Montel Heights shooting

Several people, including a young child, were shot in an incident in Montel Heights on Saturday night.

There are few details at the moment, but the victims’ injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

emotionally numb but somehow greedier, . . . . . … .

The churches are happy 'long as tithes are high, . . . . …

The politicos shrug with practised sigh, . . . . . . ..

And we bar our windows and lock our doors, . . . . .. ..

And wonder just why so many breaking laws? . . . ..

Is it violent music and video games, . . . . . . .

Or lack of direction from minister Dames? . . . . . ..

Or that courts hardly work and the police not much good? . . . . .

Or simply too many babies brought poor in ghetto-hood? . . . . .. .

If we cannot stop the killing then like The Worm Ouroboros, . . . .

This thing is will continue until it has devoured .all of us...…………….

This did not happen overnight. We have been heading this way since PLP taught us that we were entitled to a job and entitled to be paid, whether we worked or not. The politicians are always making excuses for Bahamians and do not lead us by example. They never tell us that to be in the "Promised Land" we have to have ethics and work at it.
