Isn't it best to rely on public to call police?

EDITOR, The Tribune

THIS ShotSpotter Alert system the Minister of National Security talks about - searched high and low, I don’t see a RFP for that - was there one as is required?

M Forbes’s letter caused me to Google the system…if it works as designed it could be possible that a patrol car will be close to a shooting location so close it could put the police in danger and the public also as the criminals who had already used their firearms could get into a shout-out endangering the police and the public.

What is the cost Minister, out of curiosity?

Really isn’t relying on the public 911 call best?

Curious - some months back RBPF Traffic Division were very proud of their new Radar Speed Guns…a fury of action and bush-crack gone? Were they on trial?

Speeding and driving texting and using cell - everyone seems to be doing it – was nearly hit twice. Am told cost to repair from fender benders going up and up.
