Realtor's top agents list $56m in property

Damianos Sotheby’s International Realty has unveiled its top listing agents for 2019, with the best performing duo handling $56m worth of property.

That was Mark Hussey and Bianca Aranha, who were the realtor’s overall top listing agents. Mitzi Pearce earned the title of top listing agent in the Abaco market, while Joan Braithwaite and Angelika Bacchus shared the title of top listing agents in Eleuthera.

“Last year was a strong year for our agents who operate as teams,” said Lana Rademaker, Damianos Sotheby’s chief brokerage officer. “The real estate market in The Bahamas continues to get more and more competitive, and we’re finding that the team structure is beneficial in terms of being able to cover more ground and offer clients even more personalised attention.”

Mr Hussey and Ms Aranha began working together as a team in 2018, while Ms Bacchus and Ms Braithwaite paired up in January 2019.

“Servicing clients is our top priority,” Ms Braithwaite added. “Working together means that one, if not both of us, is physically present for our clients at all times so we can continue to provide the personalised service we’ve each built our professional reputations on.”

Similarly, Ms Pearce said nurturing long-term relationships with her clients was key in maintaining a strong foothold in the Abaco market. Since Hurricane Dorian made landfall in Abaco last September, she has continued to work with clients from her new base in Nassau.

“I have learned a lot about Nassau in a short amount of time, and I take every opportunity to pass on this new knowledge to clients who are curious about other locations in The Bahamas,” Ms Pearce said. “Plus I am in constant touch with my network in Abaco, so I am always up-to-speed on recovery and rebuilding efforts so I can advise my clients and potential investors accordingly.”
