MORE than $30,000 was donated to the Ranfurly Homes for Children by the Bahamas Bar Association and the Organisation of Commonwealth Caribbean Bar Associations.
The OCCBA, led by Ruggles Ferguson, donated over $15,000 to the BBA for hurricane relief efforts here. The BBA decided to match that donation, and in turn donated $32,488.58 to the children’s home representing a joint BBA and OCCBA contribution.
The Ranfurly Homes for Children took in many displaced children who were affected by Hurricane Dorian last September. In the immediate aftermath of the storm, the orphanage appealed for cash donations to deal with the influx of residents to its facility.
