Power out at BPL

EDITOR, The Tribune.

It is amazing that on Saturday past and just yesterday (Tuesday, 12th instant) there were island-wide power outages for hours on end without a coherent explanation from Bahamas Power & Light.

This in the midst of the corona pandemic is a sad indictment on the Minister with responsibility; the managers and directors at that crumbling entity.

While Minnis is waxing about how we should be grateful and how we should celebrate Mothers Day, he should detour from his abject ramblings and stop by BPL for a pow-wow.

We are going from the sublime to the ridiculous. How many more years until the next general elections?

Unapproved individuals getting on incoming flights; a bunch of people are “missing” from quarantine and no one knows where they are.

This reminds me of the 100-odd detainees at the Detention Centre who went missing during Ingraham’s watch... they still have yet to be found.

This FNM government is damned good at having things disappear or go missing. Next should be that whole crew.

Next time your "crew" is in power they should offer an amendment to have elections every 3 years. It wont happen of course because "they" will be in power then and they will want the whole 5. They will also argue that "nothing" can be done in 3 years. Im sure plenty boss laugh at that. They will ignore the fact that IF they do a good job and things are coming on stream then the people will give them another 3. 3+3=6 which is greater than 5. But that math may just be too confusing.

Editors, are all posts being moderated now due to virus? Or is it me because I am new?
