A 29-year-old man was charged with illegal firearm and ammunition possession in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Prosecutors alleged Ramirez Cameron was found with a black .40 Smith & Wesson pistol and two rounds of unfired .40 ammunition in August of last year.
During his hearing before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt yesterday, he denied the allegation.
However, before the magistrate could make a determination on bail, the prosecution requested additional time to review his file.
As a result, Cameron’s case was adjourned to April 21 for a bail hearing and the scheduling of a trial date.
The accused will remain in custody until that time.
