Carnival capers

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Amazing how quickly it is back to normal after an election with all those pious promises of Better Better New Day... nothing at all if we are to take the obvious from the carnival saga.

So the PLP did apply to Finance...

None other than the PM’s press spokesperson almost swore it was not so, the PM didn’t have anything to do with the carnival and ridiculed the absolute idea that the PM wouldn’t but guarantee he did know was part of the process as that is how things go as was the chairman of the PLP — Minister Mitchell.

Boy one of these days that guy going to learn don’t opinion.

Yes, tradition that the licence for the carnival given by the Government is only applied for by the party in power given to the them seems on the face of it okay, but why should the party either or them benefit solely when surely this is a government licence and if there is any revenue that should go solely to the Public Treasury?

This is a recreation event so why doesn’t the revenue that the party-in-office will benefit from go to the Ministry of Youth, Sports for the uplifting of our troubled youth?

It didn’t take long 90 days to be back to normal... nothing ever going to change to us getting improved governance, it would seem that this bull is entrenched forever.
