So the Sports Authority are better served with a bunch of bankers than business people who have some sense of how to manage a marketable facility. Didn’t the PLP pre-2017 sign a very costly management-marketing contract with a California Sports Marketing Co, and got nothing.

So this coming weekend we have the Conch American Football Bowls... an empty stadium even with free seats!

The audience that ESPN will play to are the immediate geographical areas around the two colleges... will the alumni association fill the bleachers? Past three-four total failures and guess what 2021 will probably be the same.

Someone sold the politicians a basket of if you build stadia people will come – Tommy Robinson Stadium for sometime has been in need of serious renovation... concrete is affected by rusting rebar...overhangs are in desperate need of a clean and anti-corrosive paint. Public areas good clean. How will that be? Guarantee in the millions!

So now we have a Track and Field stadium and soon a Baseball Stadium millions, especially the Track and Field, over $40m with all the utilities in and can we possibly make an honest buck back?

Local Track & Field that can’t even fill the stadium... CARIFTA, yes, but not because Bahamians go because ‘000’s Jamaicans fly in and populate the bleachers.

Could we attract serious music concerts. To get in the meg concert business you have to get the know-how and the upfront deposit is at least $4-5 million... with COVID add the expense of protocols health checks, but Nassau could attract a 20+ K concert.

Junkanoo won’t work at Tommy Robinson..... no sounding board essential for the junkanoo music.

Two massive white elephants? Imagine they don’t even use the stadium for Independence Anniversary celebrations.... And MPs want stadia here there and everywhere - listen to their contributions in Parliament.
