A 31-year-old man who denied dishonestly receiving a stolen motorbike was yesterday granted bail ahead of his trial.

Edwis Hall was arrested after he was accused of being found with a Honda motorcycle that was suspected to have been stolen or unlawfully obtained on May 24. He denied one count each of unlawful possession and receiving when he appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.

As a result, the case was adjourned to June 28 for trial. Hall was granted $1,000 bail in the interim.

Yesterday, the accused was also charged with one count of simple possession after officers found one gram of Indian hemp in his home on May 24. He admitted the offence and was bound over to keep the peace for six months. If he is convicted within that time frame, he could risk being fined $250 or spending one month in prison.
