Rape is rape

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Not surprising our politicians look for a flavour of the month issue and try desperately to make browny points from it when in reality the issue is stupid.

Rape - yes Rape. When you hear or read that word there is one only understanding. But rape can come in different varieties and we better understand what basically rape is… the taking advantage of someone sexually against their will and agreement.

It is ludicrous to hear the argument said on the airwaves or written that a woman after marriage becomes totally subject to and requiring to comply to the wishes of her husband.

Editor, the lady did not lose her Constitutional or Human Rights on saying ‘I do!’… this talk has to stop as it is teaching our younger people totally the wrong story to disrespect our women. Any advocacy of this needs to stop now.

I do not like the politicians trending to make feminised-rape an issue trying to make political headlines and browny points… Rape is rape in any language, has always been, so please resist these silly statements to get on the news.

The Bahamas allows same sex relationships/acts in the privacy of one’s home - surely the law must cover rape in that case of same sex rape?

If politicians wish to champion something, doubt many of them can, champion marriage - one together, and a union without extra marital relationships - there is an exceptionally high level of incest... prominent personalities strut around as if they are holier than thou, but have concubines all over town and outside children.

Repair society, MPs - politicians repair the great institution of marriage… hold up women - marriage don’t degrade and abuse… rape is rape.

If truth be told of how many of our politicians could pass a lie detector test, lying test.

Do you have a sweetheart? Do you have outside children?
