Income taxes

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Income tax... who pays it? Whatever levied on Business ends up you and I pay 100%.

Did not see the letter Andrew Allen refers to, but for sure any direct taxes levied on business of any sort, Mr Allen - I and everyone will pay every dime you tax…

Mr Allen raises as an issue that CFAL made a reported profit... so CFAL are not in the business or any business of “ making profit”?

Is really Mr Allen proposing a “socialistic economy”? Why doesn’t he address the obvious the massive tax avoidance - refusal to pay- tiefing - some reports indicate that could exceed $800 million.

A perfect example of how levy-taxes are collected by any party paying....a resident in a “gated community” is liable to their portion of costs-maintenance-insurances, etc....you see, Mr Allen, that is precisely how Income Tax would work, plus what would stop Directors of business upping their compensation and basically zeroing all Income taxes Liabilities.

Taxes, Editor, are never paid for by the first party they are levied on....the consumer-customer - you and I pay every dime.
