A MAN accused of stealing a car battery was granted $500 bail yesterday.
Cordero Rolle, 34, appeared before Magistrate Shaka Serville on a single stealing charge.
On July 14 at Penny Savings Bank Lane, Rolle is accused of stealing Anton Green’s car battery valued at $195.83. Rolle pleaded not guilty to the charge.
While the accused had antecedents with the most recent being in 2019, the prosecution had no objection to bail. Rolle’s bail was set at $500 with one or two sureties to be signed before his release. Rolle was then informed that his trial was adjourned to September 14.
