Solution to the teachers problem

EDITOR, The Tribune.

The Ministry of Education is facing a dire need of new teachers for growing classrooms. Our learning institutions are lacking the experience necessary to propel our students into the next level of tertiary discipline after graduation. Technical, trade and work experience is an essential element of training programmes when mentoring students. Most university graduates and professionals already possess the necessary skills required for this undertaking to enhance students logical and analytical thinking qualities they acquire.

My proposition to the ministry of education is simply to recruit those qualified impressions that are already in the work environment and are knowledgable about subject matters and literacy which correlates to career choices. Social education interaction will prove that qualified professionals are the best teachers for learning forums. I myself was a candidate for the ministry of education but took another appointment with the ministry of finance.

Our government ministries are filled with such professional personalities that are willing to volunteer scheduled teaching participation on the same salary base for this invaluable service. Subjects and courses are taught in higher tertiary institutions by working accountants, engineers, Bankers, computer science majors, doctors, lawyers, and culinary chefs not to mention our world class athletes, these attributes are key beneficial factors in career choices and are able to expand learning capabilities beyond the classroom.
