Teen sent to Simpson Penn Centre for boys after allegedly stabbing another boy in the chest

A 16-year-old boy was sent to Simpson Penn Centre for Boys after allegedly stabbing a neighborhood boy in his chest last week.

Magistrate Algernon Allen, Jr, charged the juvenile with attempted murder in the presence of his guardians.

The accused allegedly argued with another 16-year-old in the Pinewood Gardens area and stabbed him in his upper body with a knife on September 25.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The accused was remanded to the Simpson Penn Centre for Boys. His case will be transferred to the Supreme Court by a voluntary bill of indictment set for service on January 25, 2024.
