Memorial Service for MR. VINCENT “WINKIE” THOMAS CARROLL, age 68 years of #456 Grenada Avenue, Freeport, Grand Bahama will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at The Pro-Cathedral of Christ the King, East Atlantic Drive and Pioneer’s Way, Freeport, Grand Bahama. Officiating will be Archdeacon Harry Bain assisted by Rev’d Marie Roach and Rev’d Letha Strachan. Interment will follow the Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road, Nassau, New Providence on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 11:30 a.m.

Left to cherish the fond memories of his life are his sister: Antoinette “Toni” Carroll; uncle: Harold Brown (Miami, Fla.); nieces: Dr. Kim Thompson-Winkler; Kariel and Korie Thompson and Ann-Marie Carroll; nephew: Kimo Thompson (Miami, Fla.); sister-in-law: Linda Carroll; brother-in-law: Paul Thompson; nephew-in-law: Dr. Michael Winkler; numerous grandnieces and nephews including: Evan “Izzy”, Quincy and Luke Winkler and a host of other relatives and friends including: Jeff and Loraine Turnquest (Nassau), Rueben Smith and June Brown-Smith (Nassau), Pastor Hartley and Maria Thompson, Brother Hesketh Johnson (his spiritual mentor), Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Knowles, Dewitt Thompson (Nassau), the family of the late Leroy Gibson, Paul Bastian, Mr. and Mrs. Ellison Delva, Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Jones (Nassau), Agatha Thompson, Paul and Michelle Hanson, La’Verne Gardiner and the entire Pro-Cathedral of Christ the King families.

A very special thanks to the doctors and nurses on the Surgical and Medical teams at the Rand Memorial Hospital, especially Dr. Theodore Ferguson, Dr. Zonicle-Newton, Sister Wright, Sister Rolle, Nurse Miller and Nurse Bain, Archdeacon Harry Bain, Rev’d Marie Roach, especially Rev’d Letha Strachan at the Pro-Cathedral of Christ the King, Fr. Rudolph Cooper at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Rev’d Izetta Bain at Westside Community Church Assembly of God, Pastor Percy Kemp at Faith Family Worship Centre; Rev’d Emmette Weir at Our Savior Lutheran Church and all person who donated blood for Vincent Carroll, especially the employees at the Grand Bahama Port Authority.
