Timothy 1:3-5: 3 I give thanks to God, whom I serve with a clear conscience, as my ancestors did. Deliverance from a terrible catastrophe
MARK Twain wrote a story called “The Great Catastrophe”. It concerns a group of people who get trapped in a tragic situation. They are doomed to die. They have no way to escape. They are, indeed, on the verge of a terrible catastrophe.
Make the family great again
THE singing career of Grammy Award Winner Marvin Gaye, ended in tragedy on April 1st, 1983. He was shot to death by his own father. He and his father never got on. Gaye’s close friend David Ritz, wrote Gaye’s biography a year later, he called it “Divided Soul”.
The impossible made real
HOW many times in your life have you said something like this? “That could never happen. It’s impossible.” “Not in my wildest dreams can I imagine that ever coming true.” “I’ll never get through this. It’s over. This is all there is or ever will be.” “No way. Not now, not ever.”
A new vision
THE Bahamas always benefited from nefarious activities; giving shelter to crooks and shady characters is a historical fact. From 1698-1718, The Bahamas became the world’s capital of piracy. New Providence was sprinkled with whorehouses, motels and shops that catered to pirates. The records will bear witness to corrupt politicians, even governors, of that period, taking bribes and a share of ill-gotten loot.
Let us go to Galilee
THE angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He has been raised, as He said. Come, see the place where He lay, then go quickly and tell His disciples, “He has been raised from the dead, and indeed He is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see Him.” (Matthew 28:5-7).
A national radical change in values - Easter demands it
THE Easter Season is the oldest in the Christian calendar. The season’s English name, Easter, is derived from Eostre, a teutonic goddess of spring, who gave her name to what corresponds to the month of April. The whole season of Easter is a festival season.
Religion and medicine
Ancient Medicine was practised by religious and spiritual leaders throughout the history of mankind and shows a connection between mind and body.
