A SEARCH was under way last night for a man missing after his car plunged into the sea off Potter’s Cay dock.
Police said that, at about 7.30pm, a vehicle went overboard at the eastern end of Potter’s Cay.
It is thought the driver was at Potter’s Cay dock to collect a family member when his car went over the edge of the dock.
Police and Royal Bahamas Defence Force officers raced to the scene and started a recovery operation.
The civilian ship Lady Matilda assisted, and the car was hauled out of the water using its crane. However, the driver was missing from the car.
At the time of going to press last night, the search for the driver was continuing.
