THE 11 contestants vying for the title of Miss Galaxy Bahamas 2014 were unveiled during a special event over the weekend at the Sun Fun Resort.

In the next few days, the pageant organisation will host a number of events starting with a float parade this Saturday at Fort Charlotte beginning 12pm.

The contestants are also expected to participate in a judges interview on November 22. Thereafter the new queen will be crowned during a final event on November 29 at the College of the Bahamas Performing Arts Theatre.
Since its launch five years ago, Miss Galaxy Bahamas has provided development opportunities to women and young girls so that they can engage in outreach activities and programmes.

The organisation’s director, Andrea Knott, told Tribune Arts and Entertainment that she is pleased to host another successful event for the fifth consecutive year.
